August 3, 2023 Chat GPT access error

Did you access chat gpt yesterday and today?
This is quite serious.
According to a report from SimilarWeb this chat bot records 13 million users per day on average, and it’s still increasing.

I was surprised when I wanted to access it this morning. Chat gpt displayed “Unable to load site”.

I started to get anxious because I had to use it today. Maybe those of you who have experienced the great benefits of this chat bot will feel anxious too, not being able to access a tool that helps you every day.

“Please try again later. If you are using a VPN, try turning it off. Check the status page for information on outages.”

There was an outage from the GPT chat from the information above.

After I find out the cause it turns out
GPT chat is mitigating a huge spike in traffic, it is thought that the cause is due to too much access to this chat bot.

According to the data chat gpt has been experiencing problems lately.
Previously on July 26, GPT chat experienced an increased error rate for requests to the Whisper API.

However, they resolved this problem on that day.

July 31, 2023 GPT chat ,Finetune API experienced an increased error due to a bad binary release. However, the impact was not an error like today.

Lastly August 1, 2023 they also investigated an issue where some users experienced a speed throttling error message indicating that their speed limit was 0/min and needed to temporarily suspend access to resolve to get back to normal.

Today August 3, 2023

They said “we believe that this was caused by a DDoS attack that bypassed our preventative measures. We will continue to investigate future mitigations. “

I’m sure it will quickly return to normal just like the previous issues.
The point is, all the problems can be said to be caused by GPT Chat access which continues to be crowded and increases every day.
